The Association is often asked, ‘can the HOA do anything about door-to-door solicitors?’ In short, no. However, there is a City ordinance in place that requires a solicitation permit (though there are exceptions for religious groups, non-profits, etc.). If a solicitor shows up to your home and cannot produce a solicitor’s permit, please call OPD at 407-971-5700. OPD will respond.
Notice of Change to ARB Approval Process
Due to a 2018 Florida Statute 720.303 (2)(a), the Architectural Review Board Process changed. In the past, the board was able to vote via email and review requests relatively quickly. Unfortunately, the Statute bans email voting and states:
Members of the board of administration may use e-mail as a means of communication but may not cast a vote on an association matter via e-mail.
What does this mean for you, as a Little Creek homeowner? It may require a little more time to get approval on your requests, so please plan accordingly. The board will review all applications at our regular monthly meetings – held the fourth Wednesday of the odd months. For months when meetings are not held, the ARB expects to perform a review of open applications. Please email: email@example.com with any questions or concerns regarding the ARB process.
Watering Times & Restrictions
Please consider the timing of when you water your lawn. Our neighborhood children end up walking in the streets if your sprinklers are running when they walk to school. This can be a very unsafe situation. In addition, please remember to follow the city watering restrictions, they are summarized here for your convenience. Watering Restrictions The City of Oviedo is required to implement watering restrictions. Please remember: Watering Days of Week Even numbered homes: Sunday Odd numbered homes: Saturday Watering times (on your day) Midnight – 10:00 AM 4:00 PM – Midnight.
